About The Wealth Report SA

The Wealth Report SA is an independent South African digital publication covering personal finance, the economy, and the cost of living. We write about the rand decisions households actually face, in plain language, with data sources cited.

What we cover

Our reporting focuses on household budgeting, government data from Stats SA, NERSA, the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy, and the National Treasury, the price of a weekly grocery shop, electricity tariffs, fuel-price math, estate and inheritance practicalities, and the financial-services landscape facing ordinary South Africans. We are interested in the numbers behind the things people actually spend money on.

Editorial independence

Our reporting is written by our team and reflects our own editorial judgement. Where an article is a paid placement from an advertiser, it carries a SPONSORED label at the top of the page and identifies the sponsoring brand inside the article. Editorial and commercial decisions are kept separate.

Reaching the editorial team

Story tips, reader letters, and corrections all go to the addresses on the contact page. We read every email and respond to most within a week.
